Situated northeast of the town of Durango, this summer camp offers opportunities for youth to develop leadership skills, responsibility and self-esteem through a variety of in-camp and guided wilderness activities. Campers can participate in mountaineering, canoeing, horseback riding, crafts, archery and much more.

Activities offered by this Christian youth camp include white water rafting, zipline adventures, archery, mountain biking and rock climbing. The camps offer programs for children from age 13-18. Located along the Pine River in the San Juan Mountains, Kanakuk is located north of Bayfield and northeast of Durango.
