Wheeler Geologic Area
Located in Rio Grande National Forest, these unique geological formations of spires and pinnacles were created by the remnants of an ancient volcanic eruption and millions of years of erosion. Best accessed by four-wheel drive, these unique badlands are located approximately 30 miles from the town of Creede on Pool Table Road #600.
