The official visitor center of Mesa Verde National Park, Far View Visitor Center is located approximately 15 mi (24 km) from the park's entrance on the Chapin Mesa and offers park information, exhibits and guided tours of the area's spectacular cliff dwellings. While the park remains open year round, the visitor center is closed from mid-October to mid-April.
